Internationaler Workshop "The Political Ecology of Agrofuels"

Vom 11.-12. Oktober 2012 fand an der Freien Universität Berlin der Workshop "The Political Ecology of Agrofuels" unter der Leitung von Dr. Kristina Dietz und Maria Backhouse statt. Nachwuchswissenschaftler/innen verschiedener Disziplinen und Länder stellten ihre Forschungsarbeiten zu Agrarkraftstoffen rund 50 Teilnehmer/innen vor. Im Mittelpunkt standen Dynamiken der Agrarkraftstoffproduktion und -politiken, sozial-ökologische Folgen und Konflikte, Arbeitskämpfe, Diskurse und Lobbystrategien, die Rolle von Agrarkraftstoffen als Teil einer "Grünen Ökonomie" sowie die Politische Ökologie als kritische Forschungsperspektive der Sozial-Ökologischen Forschung.
